About Us

I’m Richard Heywood owner of Lichfield Entertainments. I established the business way back in 1995 when I first started hiring out small bouncy castles for children’s parties in back gardens on a part-time basis. In the early noughties I took the business full-time and added a small team of staff as we started taking on larger school, company, and community events. By the end of the noughties we’d transitioned the business away from the small garden parties to larger events focusing more on the corporate and schools market. In the twenty-tens we started providing fan zone entertainments for some of the Midlands most well known professional sports teams several of whom we still supply today. Also in the twenty-tens we added a huge range of electronic based entertainments aimed at indoor corporate events such as award nights and conferences. Following this even more indoor games and entertainments were added for use for brand activations and for use to attract footfall to exhibition stands and this has been a major part of the business for the last ten years.

Lichfield Entertainments has always been based on valued longstanding relationships both with our customers and our staff. We have several staff that have been with us for over fifteen years, one who still helps us out well over twenty years after they first started, and we remain in touch with many of our past staff years after they moved on to other things as they’re still our work family. It’s the same with our customers - we have schools, colleges, and universities that we’ve supplied for over twenty years, we’ve supplied fan zone entertainments at Aston Villa and Edgbaston for fifteen and ten years respectively, and we’ve been preferred suppliers to the most prestigious group of Midlands wedding venues for fifteen years. We have large numbers of corporate customers who return to us every time they need entertainments for their events and brands that return to us every time they’re exhibiting at a trade show. Over 70% of our business is returning customers and we value this immensely.

Still based near Lichfield where we first started we now supply engaging games and entertainments to corporate events, sporting events, conferences, and exhibitions all across the Midlands and indeed nationwide. From Bognor Regis and Southampton in the South up to Glasgow and Edinburgh in the North we’ve covered events everywhere!
